Silberschlag is a small Moon crater near Mare Tranquillitatis. What is my surprise when I observe that this crater shadow is proper of two peaks instead of a crater rim. Watch the picture and think about it. Is that normal?

The left shadow is the shadow of a peak in the south of Silberschlag crater. The right shadow is the shadow of a small ridge in the west of Silberschlag crater. Compare with picture in US wikipedia ‘Silberschlag (crater)’. There you also will see these two shadows. Silberschlag crater itself only has a small shadow, when the sun is rising in the east, because the cater is located at the eastern flank of the north-to-south mountain ridge.
